Letter to Santa
In this difficult year, Santa, you must up your game,
Everything here's changing, nothing's the same.
No usual entrance by magical key
No roof top sleigh parking then down the chimney The
gifts straight from Amazon and not the North Pole.
No crowds in the mall for you, jolly old soul.
The children will miss that bounce on your knee yet we
still want to hear them giggle with glee. The gifts
carefully chosen for impact and joy those iPhones and
Fitbits, perhaps a soft toy. They need to be welcomed;
recipient pleased. The world needs the joy, the hour
must be seized.
Santa, old friend, be a leader, please thrill
in this season of hope, joy and peace and goodwill.
We all send our love to you and the elves and
Mrs. Claus too, thinking not of ourselves. The
cookies and milk, they will be in the hall.
Goodnight and God Bless from your friends one
and all.
