Beloved wife of the late Roy Francis Robinson, 1930-1983. She will be sadly missed by her four children, Sharon Chambers, Joanne Bianco (Jerry), Jeff (Terri), and Laura Arsenault (Ray); her six grandchildren, Amy, Natalie, Craig, Andrew, Jonathan, and Jeremy, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Norma will be remembered by her sisters, Rennie Marshall, Sandra Foster (Keith), Kathleen Cupelli (Arnoldo), and sisters-in-law, Jackie Marshall (Brent) and June Strople. Recently predeceased by her brother Brent Marshall in August 2021. She will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews in Ontario and Nova Scotia. Her friends in the Oshawa and Port Perry area will remember Norma fondly, as she worked at the Port Perry post office for over 20 years and everyone in town knew her smiling face. The church communities she attended over the years will remember her voice in the choir and her continuous generosity with a helping hand in all aspects of her faith from being an elder to serving on the ladies' auxiliary for over 50 years; and she always "brought strangers in from out in the cold" and welcomed those alone for Christmas dinner from time to time. She was also seen for several years enjoying herself posing as Mrs. Claus, walking in the Port Perry Santa Claus parade. Norma was well known for her delicious and fancy baking, especially her pies, butter tarts, muffins, and cookies, which showed up at all the various church and community events and she was always happy to share them with friends and neighbours as well. Other hobbies were mastering artful handwriting and some poetry. The family extends their utmost thanks to the staff at Caressant Care McLaughlin in Lindsay, Ontario for their care and compassion over the past few years, and especially to her eldest granddaughter, Amy Stewart, who cared for her during those years, and who sat with her most of her last day when none of the rest of us could be there. Thank you. He reached out his hand and led her home. Amen. We will gather to celebrate her life at a later date in 2022. Online condolences and memories of her may be made at www.mountlawn.ca. OBITUARIES | REMEMBERING THE LIVES OF THOSE IN OUR COMMUNITY We are sad within our memory, lonely are our hearts today; for the one we loved so dearly has forever been called away. We think of you in silence, no eye may see us weep; but many silent tears are shed when others are asleep. Time may heal the broken-hearted, time may make the wound less sore; but time will never stop the longing for the loved one gone before. What would I give to clasp your hand, your happy face to see.
