MILLER, Mona Monteith (née McIntyre) November 16, 1931 - January 29, 2022 ------------------ Sadly, we announce the death of our mother, Mona Miller, on January 29th, in her 91st year. Fifty years ago, when we lost our father, Mom promised to do everything possible to stay in good health so that we would have at least one parent. She kept her promise, but it was time for us to let her go. After a fall on Wednesday that resulted in tremendous pain, she was mercifully gone by Saturday night. Left to grieve in her absence are Jamie (Sharon), Linda, Jane (Scott), and grandchildren Ian (Courtney), Jade, Sarah, Kate and Sam, as well as 3 great-grandchildren, Colin, Liam, and Owen. She was predeceased by her first husband, Walter (1972), and then by her second husband, Jim (2008), as well as eight sisters. Also mourning, are her stepchildren, David (Anita), Brad (Bev), Sue (Rob), Melanie, and Lisa (Al). Prior to moving to Whitby, Mom lived and worked in the town where she was born, Petrolia, Ontario. After moving to the GTA, she worked for many years in fundraising at both Sick Kids and Princess Margaret Hospitals. We will always remember how special she made our Christmases and how she kept the cottage for us to enjoy all these years. And we will take to heart a message she left us, hoping that we would learn this great life lesson: There is a crack, a crack in everything That's how the light gets in (Leonard Cohen) Bye, Mom RYAN, Michael Anthony ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Suddenly in Oshawa on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 57 years of age. No stain was on your little heart, sin had not entered there; and innocence slept sweetly on that pale white brow so fair. You were too pure for this cold earth, too beautiful to stay, and so God's holy angel bore our darling one away. Time may heal the broken-hearted, time may make the wound less sore; but time will never stop the longing for the loved one gone before. Your memory is as dear today, as in the hour you passed away. 1-800-263-6480 classifieds@metroland.comCLASSIFIEDS OBITUARIES | ANNOUNCEMENTS | JOBS | MARKETPLACE
