Current turnover has created multiple vacancies on the Board of Trustees, providing an exciting opportunity for senior business leaders to make a strategic contribution to the fastest growing health system in the province. Based on the current skills mix of Board, there is a need for skilled Trustees who have experience in one (or more) of the following competency areas: construction and project management; corporate business management; finance; health care administration and policies; information technology; legal; quality and patient safety; risk management. Preference will be given to those candidates who possess financial leadership and preparation as a CPA, experience in corporate legal, experience in long-term care or patient/family advisory, and/or representation from Indigenous communities. In addition, the ideal candidates will, at a governance and strategic level, demonstrate a passion for health care, and significant experience contributing on Boards of non- profit organizations. While not critical, ideal candidates would be members of the broader Durham geographic community.
