The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to introduce new zoning standards for lands located within the Brooklin Urban Boundary expansion area. The updated Zoning will implement the policies of the Town's approved Official Plan (Brooklin Community Secondary Plan) and provide the planning framework required for anticipated growth within Brooklin. The proposed Zoning By-law will apply to the lands (Study Area), as shown on the map below. How to Get Involved This Public Meeting will be held virtually. If you are unable to attend the meeting, your comments/representation can be filed in writing by mail, email, or personal delivery to the Town of Whitby Planning and Development Department prior to Council's final decision on the applications. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Whitby before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
