The goal of the robberies, which occurred in Oshawa, Whitby and Ajax, was to steal narcotics, Durham police said. One of the incidents resulted in injuries to a pharmacy employee, police said. The incidents began at 6:49 p.m., when three men jumped a counter at Devon Pharmacy on Wilson Road North in Oshawa and stole narcotics before fleeing in a vehicle, police said. It is believed the same crew struck the Whitby Walk-in Medical Clinic on Brock Street at 7 p.m., stealing drugs before fleeing. Just minutes later, three suspects assaulted an employee at IDA Guardian Pharmacy on Church Street North in Ajax. The worker was treated at hospital for head and facial injuries, police said. The suspects in all three incidents are described as masked men who fled in a dark-coloured SUV. Witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage is asked to call police at 905-579-1520, extension 5355 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
