On Saturday, Feb. 19 at about 2:25 p.m., Durham Regional Police conducted a traffic top in the Bloor Street West and Stevenson Road South area. The occupants of the vehicle were investigated and the driver of the red Nissan Sentra was found to have a loaded handgun in his possession, police said. The driver and passenger face a combined 21 criminal charges. Nile Ness, 19, and Jean Talbot, 20, were charged with numerous firearmsrelated offences including failing to comply, unauthorized possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm, unauthorized possess of a restricted/prohibited firearm in a motor vehicle, driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available and possession of a loaded restricted/prohibited firearm.
