Officers dispatched to the area of Simcoe Street South and John Street just before 1 a.m. on April 3 for an armed person call located a 31-year-old man with stab wounds, say police. He was taken to a Toronto-area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Police say a suspect -- described as a thin white man, about 6-feet tall and wearing dark clothing -- fled the area following the interaction. An investigation into the stabbing continues and police are awaiting surveillance footage from the area.
