Wife of the late Cameron "Guy" Morey (1998). She was born in Napanee, ON and was the daughter of the late Orval and Lottie Perry. She was the beloved mother of Debra (Kelly Gallagher) of Balsam Lake, Cindy (the late Rob Winfield) of Oshawa, Elizabeth (Malcolm Ross) of Elmvale, Guy Morey (Donna) of Oshawa and Brenda (Harold Hoekstra) of Bolton. Loved sister of Gail and Al MacKenzie. Lois was predeceased by her sisters Marion Flintoff, Helen Herd and Marjorie Stark and her brother Art Perry. Loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her very good friend Dave Wall. Maria will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Erin, Lauren, Kayley, Julia, Nicole, Claire, Eric, James and great-granddaughter, Ava. She is survived by her sister Teresa in Hungary. Maria and Leslie settled in Bowmanville after leaving Hungary in 1956. Together they built a home on Solina Road where Maria took great joy in hosting family gatherings and special dinners. Maria worked for 25 years as a custodian at Bowmanville High School and Courtice Secondary School. She took pride in her work and enjoyed talking with the students.
