Fun loving, curious and one who jumped into new adventures with both feet. At age 40 she bought a horse and started riding lessons after going on one trail ride. An avid duplicate bridge player, she made many life long friends at the table playing the game she loved almost daily. A talented artist, she was a long time member of the Oshawa Art Association and her watercolour's are in many private collections. Her love for crafts of all kinds saw her taking up macramé, ceramics, beaded jewelry and of course knitting. We will never run out of her beautiful hand knit socks. Always up for a road trip, we shared many wonderful times travelling across Canada and the U.S. In her last years she enjoyed her friends and staff at the Chartwell Deerview Crossing Retirement Residence. Thanks to all of them for their care and friendship. A special thanks to Dr. Mukherjee and his wonderful team at the Juravinski Cancer Centre. She is survived by her daughter Kim (Paula) and son Kevin. Donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre are appreciated. She will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Oshawa at a later date. In my heart your memory lingers, always tender, fond and true; there's not a day, dear friend, I do not think of you. Pleasant in manner, patient in pain, our loss is your eternal gain. Your cheery ways and smiling face, are a pleasure to recall; you had a kindly word for each, and died beloved by all. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep, I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glint on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn's rain. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.
