Don was the beloved husband of Ruth (nee Adams) for 67 years and loving father to Donna (Bill Mairs), Cindy (Steve Millson), Donald (Karen) and Ken (Sharon). He was a loving grandpa/papa to 9 grandchildren - Jenn, Amanda (Warren), Adam (Amanda), Andrew (Shannon), Matt (Jay), Mitch, Dylan, Cassidy (Tyler) and Cody. Don had 8 great grandchildren - Tyler, Brandon (Erin), Travis, Ella, Cole, Ryder, Ava and Jace and three great great grandchildren - Hannah, Blake and Jade. Don is predeceased by his parents Albert (Gordon) (1974) and Mabel Irene (1981). Don is survived by his sister Joan Cowles and predeceased by his sister Dorothy LeBlanc (2017) and brother Bill Cowle (2000). Don loved getting together with his family and friends. He really looked forward to those visits. He will be greatly missed by them all. Don was an avid Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Don enjoyed playing darts, cards, horseshoes and billiards with his friends. Don also enjoyed the cottage life. Don had been an active member of the Legion looking after the membership for many years. We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville and Oshawa for their great care. We would also like to thank the PSW's and nurses that have come to the house to look after him the past couple of years. She is survived by son Dennis McDonald (Bernadette), daughter Sylvia Heikamp (Gerrit), grandchildren Jarod, Jacinda, Corey, Kris, Luke McDonald, Jake Davis and her loving great grandchildren. Bonnie lived in Bowmanville for the last 80 years. She lived on Liberty St. Bonnie Volunteered many years running the catering services for the Lion Centre. She loved her garden and always had a beautiful showing of flowers every year. Her next love was her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was a strong lady and she "lived life her way!" Mrs. (Anthony) March 17, 1947 - April 6, 2022 ------------------ It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catherine, at her home in Oshawa, on April 6, 2022. Catherine was predeceased by her parents Jack and Pat Anthony, and her brother Neil. Catherine will be forever missed by her loving husband Ken. She was Step-mother to Andrea (Chris) Reed, and devoted Nana to Tyler (Kiara), Hailey and Owen. Catherine is survived by her sister Diane (Bill) Baughn and cherished Aunt of Steven (Karen) Krizan and Sarah (Bill) Lamascese. Catherine was an RN and trained at the Whitby Mental Health Centre (Ontario Shores Whitby), where she was employed for 40 years. In keeping with Catherine's wishes, there will be no formal service. A sincere and warm thank you to the Amazing staff at the LHO Cancer Centre, where Catherine was supported for 11 years. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
