So the Clarington Shamrox lacrosse team has partnered with Durham's Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre to play an exhibition game against the Whitby Warriors, with all proceeds going to support those in the community dealing with a cancer diagnosis. And making it an extra special event, "Crosse Out Cancer" is on Mother's Day, May 8 at 2 p.m. at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex, 2440 Hwy. 2, Bowmanville. There are no advance tickets; admission is $10 at the door; kids under 12 admitted free. For more information, contact Danielle Carroll or Rick Morton at shams@shamroxlacrosse.ca.
