Loving husband of Dianne Precoor (nee Treen) celebrated 55 amazing years. (January 7th, 2022). Loving Dad and best friend of sons Jeff and wife Kelly (Stanfield) Oshawa, Jason of Gelert, Ontario. Survived by his much- loved grandchildren, Vanessa, Keegan, Kassidy, Kieran and Jacob, his much-loved great grandchildren, Natalie, Maverick, Tierney, and Bryson. Dear brother of Alex, Lorraine, Mabel, Clarence, Christena, Judy, Bonny, and Susan. Survived by his many sisters-in -law, brothers-in-law, (nieces, nephews, great and great- great nieces, and nephews) and cousins. Pre-deceased by his parents Gordon and Christena Precoor (nee MacLeod), brothers, Frank and Wayne, sisters, Shirley, and infant Margaret. Thank you will never be enough words to all the Healthcare Doctors, Nurses and their staff, Brooklin Medical Centre, Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, St. Michaels Hospital for these past 19 plus years, that made it possible to keep him with us, though his Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease, Heart Disease, Vascular Disease and Pulmonary Fibrosis Disease and his many surgeries. The care and compassion he and his family received these past 4 months from The HealthCare Services, to enable us to keep him at home is beyond words. Palliative Care Doctor McAllister and nurse Amber, they were both here within minutes of his passing, we will forever be grateful. John so enjoyed his time with the Auxiliary Whitby OPP Detachment in the late 60's, a member of Oshawa Bowling Leagues for many years, coaching kids in Youth Bowling, Glen Stewart Park hockey and baseball teams, his many hunting and fishing trips to Northern Ontario with his (late father-in-law Elmer Treen) and brother-in-law Norman Treen. We both looked so forward when sister Patti would call and plan our trips up North to Haileybury, Niagara Falls and the Casino's. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Road N. Whitby, Ontario Cremation has taken place. A Private Family celebration will take place at a later date. Loving husband of 33 years to Nancy (Dunford). Dear father of Richard of Vernon, B.C., step-father of Chris Spicer (Jody) of Peterborough and Andrea Ste. Croix (Brad) of Roseneath. DERZBACH, Dorothy ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Heaven has been blessed with another Angel. Dorothy passed away peacefully at her home on April 27th just 23 days after Werner, her loving husband for 63 years, passed away before her. Theirs was a true love story. Loving mother of Michelle Landry (Mike Griffiths) and Mike Derzbach (Margo), Cherished Oma of Brittany (David Della Fazia), Holly Landry and Steffanie Derzbach (Patrick). Beloved brothers Tony Baran (Rose) and Joe Melnick (Mary) and sister Olga Melnick. Dorothy was born in Oshawa, Ontario on August 20, 1933, to her parents Mary and Thomas Melnick. She enjoyed many travel adventures with her loving husband Werner to the Caribbean as well as memorable winters in Florida where she also invited her beloved granddaughters to join them. She was a wonderful caring mother, and grandmother who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. December 29, 1926 - February 27, 2022 ------------------ Peacefully at Lakeridge Heath Oshawa at the age of 95. Beloved husband of Doris. Loving father of Julie (Richard) and Wallace (Lisa). Cherished Pa to Fiona and Miranda. Brother of the late Helen (Oldham) and Jim, and son of Vincent and Hilda (Gorrell). Will be lovingly remembered by numerous family and friends. Born and raised in Brock Township, Jack left the farm to work in a lumber camp in Eastern Ontario. Around the same time a blind date sparked a relationship with Doris that would last a remarkable 69 years. A true Jack of all trades, he went on to work at GM in Oshawa, in the family-owned Beaton's Dairy, in a menswear store, as manager of the Whitby Curling Club and, in later years, as a self-employed painter and decorator. A skilled baseball player in his youth, Jack became an avid curler and shared his love of sports with youth as a hockey & baseball coach. A Celebration of Life will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, Oshawa on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery, Greenbank. Left to mourn is his beloved wife and friend Ann (Annie) of 59 years. His son Leonard and his wife Jolanda. Grandchildren Weston and Amanda. Sister Pamela and many family and friends. Predeceased by his daughter Kim (1991). Ronald was born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1936 to Ethel and Dexter Allen. Ron was educated at Appleby College in Oakville and graduated from McMaster University in 1958. A vibrant and passionate person who loved people, Ron started the financial services department of W.B. White Insurance in Oshawa where he enjoyed many years in the financial industry before his retirement. He served terms as both President of the Kiwanis Club of Oshawa and President of the Oshawa Probus Club, and with a lifelong appreciation for music, was a member of the Clarington Ukulele Club. At Ron's request, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held.
