Project Lancia was a six-month investigation targeting a drug network that operated throughout Ontario, police said. It culminated April 29 with the execution of search warrants in several locations including Peterborough, Toronto, Woodbridge and Sault Ste. Marie. In total the operation saw the arrests of 23 suspects and the laying of 145 drugs and weapons charges. "Approximately $4.45 million dollars in drugs, nine firearms, and $226,000 in cash was seized along with five motor vehicles as offence related property," police said. Drugs seized during the operation included fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and cannabis. 23 CHARGED IN DRUG PROBE A multi-jurisdictional investigation led by Durham police has resulted in the arrests of multiple suspects and the seizure of nine guns and an estimated $4.5 million worth of drugs.
