Advocates say they're seeing more people living unsheltered, more people who need help with housing and more "desperate sit- uations." "There is not a lot out there for people looking to rent ... em- ployed or unemployed," said Mau- reen Bandola, manager of hous- ing with the John Howard Society of Durham Region. Part of the society's work includes helping people with housing services and rental searches.
