Peter is pre-deceased by his wife of 53 years, Jackie Kuzyk (nee: McConkey) as well as his daughter Susan Kuzyk. Loved father to Tom Kuzyk. Loved grandfather to Jayden Gill, and Jessica Gill. Pre-deceased by his grandson Jake Gill. Loved brother to Michael, Helen (Roy) Morton and June (Ed) Sobanski. Peter will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Many may know Peter as 'Rambling Pete" from the Shelter Valley Boys Band. Peter had a passion for music. He played the violin and accordion. But his instrument of choice was the base guitar. He traveled all throughout Ontario playing his guitar. He even dabbled in some Polka dancing in his early years. Jerry passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Lisa for 57 years. Proud father of Jeffery (Laura) and David (Brook), adored grandpa of Myles and Cullen. Lovingly remembered by Val and Leo Choloniuk, Rolf and Tania, Stosh, Stefan and Alexis Fabricius, Terry and Patti, Mackenzie and Melissa Choloniuk. Sadly missed by Gloria, Bob and Darryl Bowler. As well as many more family and friends. Jerry came to Canada in his late teens from Detroit, Michigan. He was a skilled Tool and Die Maker at Pedlar People Manufacturing, finally coming to work at North American Steel as the Plant Manager for over 35 years. Jerry was a sports enthusiast; hunting, fishing, hockey, bowling, downhill skiing and his ultimate passion, golf. He enjoyed many years as a member of the Oshawa Golf and Curling Club and more recently, as a member of the Warriors and Povinsky golf leagues. Jerry was also an active and dedicated member of the parish at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Jerry was in charge of the maintenance and upkeep of the Parish. He gave of his time generously and did his job with caring and resourcefulness. Travelling the world with Lisa was another one of Jerry's passions, particularly if there was a golf course nearby... He was a proud family man who was determined to remain active and full of life, right up to the end.
