CHACON, Querta Prosneldi ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ In loving memory of Querta Prosneldi Chacon who passed away at Extendicare Falcon- bridge, Sudbury, Ontario on September 10, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born in Lautaro, Chile on May 30, 1928. Greatly missed by her children, Julio Navarro (Grace), Lina Roberts and Rene Quintanilla. Survived by grandchildren Chris and Eric Navarro (Marquise), Craig Quintanilla (Geanna) and great - grandchildren Kyle and Keanna Navarro. Predeceased by her parents, Osvaldo and Enriqueta Chacon, stepmother Tina, her sister Iris and her brother Osvaldo. Survived by her brother-in-law Orest Czujko of Oshawa. Also survived by siblings Beatriz, Mery, Elba and Nelson all of Chile. Querta was a registered nurse having worked at Whitby Psychiatric Hospital during her career after immigrating to Canada with her children in January, 1964. In her younger days, she enjoyed travelling with friends to warmer climates. Querta was an avid knitter whose products are still worn by family, friends and those in need. Although Canada was her adopted country, she never forgot her roots. She was proud of her Chilean heritage. Thanks to Dr Roch for his kindness and compassion in her final days and to the Staff on 3rd floor east wing. At the family's request, there will be no funeral visitation and private service only. Cremation. Interment at Civic Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum, Sud- bury. Arrangements entrusted to Lougheed Funeral Homes.
