He wanted none of the hospital palliative or hospice support available to him. He led his own path in life on his own terms to the end. Brent was born in Oshawa, Ontario on July 7, 1957 to Neilson and Anna-Marie Greentree. He attended Harmony Road Public School and then Eastdale Collegiate. He then began working for Don's Wreckers in Oshawa. At the young age of 16, he started his 43 year career as a Professional Driver. In December 1978, when Brent was working as a bouncer in the bar at the Holiday Inn, he met his future wife. They met right before Christmas and tried to find a place for their date but it proved to be a challenge with the busy holiday season, they would eventually have their date at a piano bar and the rest would be history. Brent and Linda would later marry on August 20, 1982, they celebrated their 40th anniversary this year. Brent will always be remebered for his love of the outdoors, fishing, story telling, jokes, his amazing sense of humour and his all embracing bear hugs. He would share his amazing kitchen knowledge and culinary skills he'd picked up from his mother (Anna- Marie) and would always see to it that no one would ever go hungry on his watch. He was an absolute wealth of knowledge and loved the chance to share the things he'd learned with anyone especially his children. Brent will forever live on in the hearts of his family. He is survived by his wife Linda, his children Brent (Lisa), Trevor (Shannon) and Jennifer (Brad), his grandchildren Alyssa, Dylan, Avery, Liam, Chase, Keeganne and Ainslynn, his father Neilson Greentree, his sister Karen (Bob), his brother Darryl (Melissa) as well as his nieces, his nephews, brothers- in-law, sisters-in-law as well as his extended family and all of his friends. He was pre-deceased by his grandparents Clarence and Minerva Greentree and his mother Anna-Marie Greentree. The Greentree family would like to thank everyone who has reached out with their love and support in this difficult time. She was a member of The Eastern Star for 60 years, she enjoyed her Thursday night poker gang, her neighbours, family and the many friends she has made in her lifetime.
