The visits are courtesy of crossing guard Marika Erwin, who dons seasonal costumes to keep things fun for the kids -- and parents. "It not only puts a smile on my face, but also the students facesface, but also the students facesf and even some of the parents," she laughs. "They appreciate it and I have fun doing it." This season she's come to work as the Grinch, Frosty the Snowman, Sam the Candy Cane girl, Mrs. Claus and -- for the last day of school before break -- Santa himself. But it's not just Blair Ridge Public School crossing guard Marika Erwin brings smiles to the faces of children and parents alike with her daily seasonal costumes during her shifts.
