Ashburn's Burns Church tries to do that by taking care of its Ukrainian families. "We have been blessed," says a church spokesperson, "by the presence and contributions of the three families whose membership in our church community has provided us with the opportunity to find all of those blessings. "It has been our privilege over the past year to assist them in many ways during their difficult transition to life in Canada. This past Sunday we gathered to honour them and to provide them with gifts that we hope will provide them more of those same blessings during the Christmas season. The day was made more special by the recent arrival of one family's parents from Ukraine. Our mutual joy and celebration was wonderful despite a few language barriers.
