Maxx Coughlan claims the self-help book industry is loaded with "fluff advice." However, his entry in the genre, he promises, will be anything but. Using a Kick-starter campaign, his book 100 Ways to Live a More Positive & Beneficial Life has been designed "to empower readers to cultivate a positive mindset, embrace gratitude and develop the self-awareness needed to take intentional action towards living a more fulfilling life." The book is comprised of 100 short ideas or lessons that in addition to having a profound impact on his life, are backed by research, and inherently designed to be universally applicable to readers in all walks of life. Coughlan grew up in Brooklin, attending St. Leo's Elementary, All Saints and Brooklin High before completing a commerce degree at Queen's. It is a fundraiser for Nova's Ark charity, Store manager Emily Kelly is asking customers to donate any amount at a minimum of $1 Then on March 2, the store will also donate a portion of its proceeds directly to the charity l. "Our owner Megan and I were lucky enough to visit Mary Ann (Nova's Ark owner/director in December," she said, "and we were touched by everything she is doing for the community.
