Friday, May 17, 2024 Brooklin TOWN CRIER .com St. Bridget Catholic School in Brooklin recently put on performances of Frozen Jr. The show ran from April 29 to May 3 with students in grades 4-8 performing 12 shows in front of over 3,000 attendees. The school, with a history in arts education, has mounted annual musical theatre performances for over 17 year. Interestingly, not only were students actors, dancers, and singers, they also created all sets and special effects. Former students, now in high school, came back to help with acting, choreography, and sound. Current and former parents helped design and create the transformation dress while teachers worked with stu- dents in performing, acting and choreography. Special thanks goes to: Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Gisana-Gay, Mrs Lawrence, Mrs. Drummond, Mr. Pugelj, and Madame DaSilva for their hard work in creating a production that left an impact on the students; Mr. Bell, Principal, for his support of the arts in our school; Mrs. Morrison, for organizing behind-the-scenes work; the school community for supporting the production; and especially to the students for willing to take risks to showcase their talents.
