Lieut.-Col. N. F. Patterson visited Whitby on Thursday last (July 11) being on his way with Mrs. Patterson and family to spend a holiday at Port Perry. The Colonel reports that new helmet plates have been purchased by the battalion, officers and men, and that the colors for which the county council provided $200 will arrive shortly, when there will be some sort of a reunion in order to present them by Warden Gould.
