Full Text: Lori Strong of Whitby came on strong to tie for first overall in the Elite Canada women’s gymnastics competition over the weekend in Toronto.

Janet Morin of Fredericton, N.B., led after the first round. But Strong, 18, Canadian champion who has won the Elite Canada competition for the past two years, made up the difference on Saturday (Dec. 1) with first place finishes in floor exercises and uneven bars.

Strong was third in vault and sixth on balance beam.
