After winning a gold medal in balance beam at the Hungarian International, April 1, Whitby gymnast Lori Strong won three bronze medals in a three-day competition at the Cotlus International in East Germany over the past weekend.
Competing against 18 countries at the Cotlus International, Canada’s premier female gymnast won a bronze medal overall on Friday, (April 7) the first day of the competition.
On Saturday (April 8), Strong, 16 won bronze medals in floor exercises and in vault. At press time results from mixed pairs competition on Sunday (April 9) were unknown.
Strong will next compete at the Canadian championships May 18 in Edmonton.
