Baggotsville – At an early hour last Friday morning (Feb. 20) fire completely destroyed the old brick Baggotsville S. S. No. 5 School house. The school was one of the oldest in the County, being built in 1874 by Spence and Deverell of Whitby, and it had been equipped the last few years also with all agricultural requirements. The section feels its loss heavily, both in the loss of the building and the children’s schooling, until a suitable place is prepared for them, which will be after summer vacation, and the trustees hope to have a new building by the fall term.
