- Notes
- The Whit-Knit Club was a group of Whitby women who knit socks for Whitby soldiers during the Second World War and sent cigarettes and other comforts. They raised money by babysitting and cutting lawns. This photograph was taken on the steps of Russell Hatch's residence at the south east corner of Byron Street and Dunlop Street.
