Description
A black and white photograph of Gord Fairman. Black tape with gold typeface writing is stuck on the bottom of the photo. There is an unidentified man in the background of the photo.

This photograph was on the front of the fifth leaf of Alex Brown's album and located in the bottom right pocket. This leaf had 4 pockets for photos on each side. In the top left pocket was a photo of a notice about Capt. Donald Beaton. The top right photo was of Bob Beaton. At bottom left is Gord Fairman and bottom right a photo of five unidentified soldiers in front of a tent.
Notes
Alex Brown is a local Whitby area veteran. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Thomas Gordon Fairman was born near Campellford, Ontario on October 29, 1910 and died in Oshawa on September 28, 1954. He is buried at St. John's Anglican Cemetery in Port Whitby. He came to Whitby from Belleville in 1938 and worked for Canadian Customs and Excise in Oshawa. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in May 1939 and served in the Second World War with the Tiger Squadron. He retired from the air force in 1948. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Whitby Branch and and the Composite Mason's Lodge. As well, he was secretary of Whitby United Church Board of Stewards.
