- Alex Brown is a local Whitby area veteran. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Garnet Ross Swain was born at East Gwillimbury Township, Ontario in 1918 and died at Oshawa in 2004. He is buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Whitby. - Date of Original
