This photograph is on the front of the ninth leaf of Alex Brown's album. This leaf has 4 pockets for photos on each side. In the top left pocket is a photo of Harry Town. The top right photo is of Oakley St. Pierre. At bottom left is L/Cpl. G.J. Scott and bottom right is Major Leighton Astrop. - Notes
- Alex Brown is a local Whitby area veteran. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Harry Frederick Clarence Town was born at Athens, Ontario in 1921. He came to Whitby in 1927. Together with his brother Jack, they bought and ran their father's undertaking business in 1954.
Harry was a member of the Whitby Kinsmen Club and of Rotary Club of Whitby from 1955-1983. He served in the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. He was a Master of the Composite Masonic Lodge in 1961 and a Charter Member of David T. Campbell Masonic Lodge 1962. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Whitby. He died at Whitby in 1983. - Date of Original
