This photograph is on the front of the tenth leaf of Alex Brown's album. This leaf has 4 pockets for photos on each side. In the top left pocket is a group photo of Bud Dilling, Bud Heard and Bud Bragg standing outside. The top right photo is of James Bud Heard. At bottom left is a photo of a Newspaper Clipping with the headline "Whitby Men in Casualty List" and bottom right is Vernon Bud Dilling.

- Alex Brown is a local Whitby area veteran. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Vernon Arthur "Bud" Dilling was born in 1919 and died in Toronto in 1993. He is buried at Mount Lawn Cemetery, Whitby. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Whitby and was a veteran of the Second World War. He was also a member of the Whitby Volunteer Fire Department and the Kinsmen Club of Whitby. - Date of Original
