- A black and white negative of a crowd of people gathered at the cenotaph for the Armistice ceremony in November of 1939. In the background is the Ontario regiment Armouries building located on the south side of Dundas Street between Green Street and Brock Street. The minister standing at left is Rev. E. Ralph Adye, Chaplain of the Whitby Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.
- Notes
- The Armouries building was built in 1878 and was demolished in 1969. It was used as an armoury from c.1899 to 1946.
