- A black and white photograph of the interior of A.T. Lawler's Grocery Store, c.1912. Canned goods, dry goods, preserved goods, bottled goods, fresh produce, cash register on counter, and ceiling light fixtures are pictured. Sign for Surprise Soap is located in centre of photograph. Man pictured behind cash register is Ernest Pellow.
- Notes
- This building was located at 103 Brock Street South. Arthur Thomas Lawler operated a grocery store in the first shop on the east side of Brock Street, south of the Dominion Bank at Dundas Street, from the early 1900's until his death in 1928. Mr. Ernest Pellow was one of Mr. Lawler's clerks.
