- A black and white photograph of the interior of Allin's Drug Store. The view is looking north in the main section of the store. At the front in the middle of this photo is a display of Laura Secord candies. Along the ceiling are advertisement posters. The first to the left is "First thing every morning ENO'S 'FRUIT SALT' the pleasant tasting alkalizing corrective." Next are two advertisements for Kodak Film. The ad furthest to the right along the ceiling reads: "the tonic for children".
To left side of the photograph is a display of salted peanuts. Further along a sign that reads "Pall Mall famous Cigarettes". The Laura Secord display sign reads: "Freshness! means the shortest possible time between making and eating Laura Secord CANDIES are always fresh." - Notes
- Allin's Drug Store was located at 100 Dundas Street West (on the north west corner of Dundas and Brock Streets). Mr. Allin operated the store from 1896 to 1945. The building where the drugstore was located was called Gerrie's Block. This building was built for James H. Gerrie in 1873.
