Description
A black and white photograph of Stokely Van Camp canning factory. The tower at right was a water tank built for the Canadian Pacific Railway (C.P.R.) about 1913 and demolished in 1962.
Notes
Stokely Van Camp canning factory was built in 1943 on the site of the former Metcalfe Foods Ltd. factory. The factory was located on the west side of Brock Street south of the C.P.R. tracks.

This picture was printed in a Whitby Chamber of Commerce brochure from 1947 and was framed by Graydon Goodfellow and presented to the Chamber in 1949.
