- Notes
- W.E.N. Sinclair was born on June 28, 1873 at lot 24, concession 4, Whitby Township. He moved to Oshawa in 1899 where he became a lawyer. He was reeve of Oshawa in 1909 and mayor of Oshawa in 1910-1911, 1915 and 1933-1934. He was leader of the Ontario Liberal Party from 1923 to 1934. He died at Oshawa on November 26, 1947 and is buried at Union Cemetery, Oshawa.
