James B. Bickell did not farm in Mariposa Township, that was his brother William and his wife Ann. Yes James lived in Lakefield but moved to Bowmanville where he learned the milling trade and after the death of his 1st wife Mary Jane Davey he had the opportunity to buy 1 of the Campbell & Way Mills in Brooklin and moved there in 1858.
