I think he must be my great grandmothers first cousin. Captain Michael Goldring's brother's son.

Richard was a brother of my GreatGrandfather Edmund Arthur Goldring who was married to Matilda Kivell. Their daughter Ella Violet was my Maternal Grandmother. I have been doing our family history and have planned a trip to visit Whitby and Newcastle with some pictures that I hope to put some names to.

Editing above post. Edmund (Ted) was married to Mary Elizabeth Thompson. Matilda Kivell was his and Richard's mother.
