Description: A black and white portrait photograph of Mrs. Thomas Dow (Eliza Harriet Chesebro) (1821-1894).
Notes: Mrs. Thomas Dow (Eliza Harriet Chesebro) (1821-1894) was born at Whitestown, Oneida County, New york, U.S.A. on January 26, 1821. On March 25, 1846 she married Thomas Dow, a Whitby bank manager. Mr. and Mrs. Dow lived in Oshawa until 1853 when Mr. Dow became the manager of the Bank of Montreal, the first bank in Whitby. In their later life they lived at Kingston, Ontario. Mrs. Dow died at Whitby on November 20, 1894 and is buried at Union Cemetery, Oshawa.
