- A black and white photograph of Mrs. Jeremiah Palmer (Mary Ann Washer) (1831-1906) and Jeremiah W. Palmer (1826-1897).
- Notes
- Mrs. Jeremiah Palmer (Mary Ann Washer) was born in Darlington Township in 1831. She and Jeremiah W. Palmer married. After her husbands death in 1897, Mary Ann moved to Toronto. She died at Lauder, Manitoba on April 19, 1906 and is buried in Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin.
Jeremiah W. Palmer was born at Bowmanville, Darlington Township, Upper Canada on November 9, 1826. He worked as a teacher in public schools for approximately 25 years in Darlington, Whitby and Pickering Townships. On retiring from teaching, he opened a boot and shoe shop in Brooklin. He moved to Whitby about 1877 and became a bailiff of the Division Court. As well, he was a member of Beethoven Lodge, IOOF, Brooklin. Jeremiah died at Whitby on January 5, 1897 and is buried in Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin. - Date of Original
