- Notes
- This brick home was built in 1883 for Lyman T. Barclay, a Whitby lawyer. It was later owned by James Rutledge (who died in 1914), then Richard Norman until 1951. After Richard Bassett sold the property in 1951 it was divided into apartments. The home was located at 600 Centre Street South and was bounded by Centre, Trent King and St. John Streets. The property was later renumbered (in the 1960s) and the building address is now 305 St. John Street West.
