Notes
George William Dryden was born on Maple Shade Farm, lot 19, concession 7, Whitby Township on 3 February 1844. After entering business in Port Perry, he was appointed Ontario County Registrar of Deeds in 1897. He served in this position until his death at Whitby on 9 April 1931. He is buried at Union Cemetery in Oshawa.
