- Black and white negative depicting a watercolour painting of the area around Rossland Road and Cochrane Street. There is a wooden bridge at the centre of the painting under which Lynde Creek flows.
- Inscriptions
- 'A perspective of old Whitby, looking south from Chocrane Street over the east branch of the Lynde Creek at Rossland Road. Painted by W.F. Binger in 1924 for George Hood (owner). Donated by Mrs. Mary Waterson (nee Hood), September, 1994.' inscribed on a plaque on the frame of the painting.
