- Black and white negative of a photograph of a train in the process of removing the rails from the Toronto and Eastern Railway behind the gates of Stonehaven, G. Norman Irwin's residence on Kingston Road, west of Whitby. Lumber and other supplies are visible in the second car.
- Notes
- The Toronto and Eastern Railway was built along the north side of Kingston Road starting in 1913. The line was intended to be a commuter railway from Toronto to Oshawa. Work was suspended during the First World War and resumed in 1923. The railway was never completed and the rails were torn up in 1927.
