Black and white negative of a photograph of a large group of men standing in rows in front of the uptown station for the Port Whitby and Port Perry Railway in Whitby during the winter. The men are posing along the north wall of the station.

In the second row from the bottom, the fifth man from the left appears to be holding flag poles. There is no information about who these men were or why they were posing in front of the station.
