Black and white negative of a photograph of Shillotta Pindar (nee Read; 1871-1939), wife of Richard C. Pindar (1868-1949), in front of an organ in the parlour of her home in Whitby. She is holding a book.
Notes
The Pindar family home was located on the shore of Lake Ontario on lot 24 of Broken Front Conecession in Whitby. The organ in this photograph was made by the Dominion Organ Company which was located in Bowmanville.

The Pindar family came to Canada in 1871 from Yorkshire, England. They settled at Whitby.
