- Black and white negative of a photograph of the Deverell family in front of the residence of Thomas Gill Deverell which was located at 110 Dundas Street East. Thomas Deverell owned the house from 1900-1906. The home was previously owned by the Barclay family and would later be owned by the Town family.
This photograph was likely taken on the 50th anniversary of the wedding of Thomas and Elizabeth Deverell. - Notes
- The Thomas Deverell family came to Canada sometime after 1828. Thomas married Elizabeth Frances Pardon at Whitby in 1850 and they had nine children.
Thomas Deverell was a builder and tradesman in Whitby.
Thomas Gill Deverell (1860-1928) married Pidge Kate Morley (1860-1934) at Toronto in 1882. They had four children. Like his father, Thomas Gill was a local builder and tradesman.
