- The William and Margaret Tordiff family came to Canada around 1830 from Cumberland, England. They had 11 children.
Levi Tordiff (1877-1953), grandson of William and Margaret, was first married to Maggie Alberta Gilbert, they had two children. His second wife was Lois Lavinia Hurlbut and they had one daughter.
They were farmers in the Myrtle area and retired to Brooklin about 1935. Lois was the organist and choir leader at Myrtle United Church and taught piano lessons in Brooklin when the family moved there. - Date of Original
