The original was taken on the 40th wedding anniversary of John and Tyrphena (nee Hopper). It was taken shortly before Walt left for overseas in WW1. He enlisted March 13 1916 in Kingston ON.
I have another picture of just John and Tryphena together, same time period. I would imagine that there should be somewhere a picture of Luella and Laura as the daughters of John and Tryphena but I have never seen it.
William MacCarl (my grandfather) was not John and Tryphena's son. He was the son of Laura MacCarl. Laura was unwed when William was born in 1899. He had a picture (which I have) taken but he was single. Not part of the group.
Laura G Parliament (nee MacCarl) died in Cannington ON 1971. She is buried in Cedar Vale cemetery in Cannington ON.
Frederick MacCarl died 1974 in Toronto. He is buried in Rest Haven, Scarborough
Roy MacCarl died in 1973 in Toronto. He is buried in Park Lawn, Toronto
