LOCATION OF WEST SIDE PUBLIC PARK Recent Transaction Shows De- cided Advance in the Value of "Skokie" Land. The Winnetka park board has com- pleted the purchase of the south 20 acres of the N. E. ¥4 N. E. 14 19-42-13 for $15,000. The property is located about 1,000 feet west of the present West Elm street park, and 1,320 feet north of Willow street, and bounded on the south by Oak street, if extended, and Spruce street on the north, if ex- tended. There is an attractive grove on this south section. The board has also leased the 20 acres north and adjoining the above for a term of five years at a rental of $600 per year, with the option of purchase at any time during the term of said lease, at $10,000. The total] tract of 40 acres was con- veyed in February, 1910, to Theresa Blum by William Herbert Johnson, of Glencoe, for which he received $8,000. The present transaction would indi- cate a decided advance in the value of "Skokie" land. Do you want to save money ? i If you do, buy your supply for next winter of BRANDL BROS.
